Ingredients
Ingredients for Paneer marination
- 2 tbsp Curd
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Fenugreek leaves
- 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
- to taste or 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 300 gram cut into cubes Paneer
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 2 Bay leaf
- 2 sliced Onion
- 3 chopped Tomato
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 6 Almonds
- 7 Cashew nuts
- 3-4 Green chili
- 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon Fenugreek leaves
- 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
- to taste Salt
- 2 tbsp for paneer frying and 50 gram for cooking masala Butter
- 2 tbsp Curd
- 1 tbsp Cream
for smoky flavour Coal
- 1 teaspoon to pour on the heated coal for smoky flavour Ghee
Steps
Add all the ingredients in a mixing bowl mentioned above in the table “ingredients for paneer marination” and mix it well. Keep it aside for 15 minutes.
Heat oil in a wok and add onion. Fry till it is translucent in color.
Add chopped tomato, green chili, red chili powder, almonds, cashew nuts, salt, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, cumin seeds and bay leaf. Fry it for 3-4 minutes or till the tomato is mushy.
Switch off the stove. Let it cool at the room temperature. Take the cooled mixture in a grinder and grind it to make fine paste.
Heat butter in a separate pan and add marinated paneer.
Fry it for 3-4 minutes till it dries up. Keep it aside.
Heat wok with butter and add ground paste and curd. Cook it on a medium to low flame till butter shows separately.
Add cream and mix it well.
Add fried paneer, mix it well.
Cook covered for 2-3 minutes before serving. Delicious butter masala paneer is ready to serve. Serve hot.
