Presenting the recipe of the delicious Medu Vada, it’s a popular south Indian breakfast. People mostly think it’s only Idli that is popular everywhere outside that is from South India, but Medu Vada is equally popular.

And is equally delicious as well. Apart from the taste, I love the shape of Medu Vada, which is quite unique. The Medu Vada makes a superb breakfast meal, having it with either Sambar or just the green coconut chutney.

Ingredients

  • WHITE SPLIT LENTIL/ DHULI URAD DAL- 1 CUP
  • WATER- 3 CUP
  • CUMIN SEEDS- 1 TEASPOON
  • GREEN CHILI- 2 CHOPPED
  • SALT-1/2 TEASPOON OR AS PER TASTE
  • CORIANDER LEAVES- 1 TBSP CHOPPED
  • VEGETABLE OIL- FOR DEEP FRYING
