Easy Homemade Chicken Biryani

Serves: 7-8

INGREDIENTS

  • MUSTARD OIL- 1/2 CUP
  • ONION SLICED- 4
  • CHICKEN- 1 KG
  • GINGER-GARLIC PASTE- 2 TBSP
  • GREEN CHILI- 5
  • CINNAMON STICK- 1/2 TSP
  • BAY LEAF- 2
  • CARDAMOM GREEN- 5
  • MACE- 1/2 FLOWER
  • BLACK PEPPER- 1/2 TSP
  • NUTMEG-1/8 OF A PIECE
  • CARDAMOM BROWN-2
  • WATER- 100 ML
  • TURMERIC POWDER-1/2 TEASPOON
  • RED CHILI POWDER- 2 TEASPOON
  • CORIANDER POWDER- 1 TEASPOON
  • SALT- TO TASTE

INGREDIENTS FOR ROASTING

  • CARDAMOM BROWN- 4
  • CARDAMOM GREEN-6
  • BLACK PEPPER- 1 TEASPOON
  • CLOVES- 8

FRIED ONIONS

  • VEGETABLE OIL- FOR FRYING ONION
    THINLY SLICED ONION- 3

FOR COOKING RICE 

  • WATER- FULL WOK
  • CUMIN SEEDS- 1 TEASPOON
  • MACE- 1/2 OF A FLOWER
  • CARDAMOM GREEN- 4
  • CLOVES- 4
  • BLACK PEPPER- 1/2 TEASPOON
  • CINNAMON STICK-1/2 INCH PIECE
  • BAY LEAF- 2
  • SALT- TO TASTE
  • BASMATI RICE- 750 GRAM (SOAK HALF AN HOUR BEFORE COOKING)

OTHER INGREDIENTS

  • CORIANDER LEAVES- 1/2 CUP CHOPPED
  • ROSE WATER- 1 TBSP
  • FOOD COLOR ORANGE- SMALL PINCH
